Meet Our Panellists:

Kwajo Tweneboa: A social housing activist tirelessly campaigning against poor social housing conditions, Kwajo shines a light on the hidden conditions imposed by housing providers and governments. He travels across the country, rallying his audience to lobby government officials and housing associations. Kwajo has met with government officials, including Sadiq Khan and Michael Gove, and has appeared on Sky News, Good Morning Britain, and GB News. He has been featured in The Guardian and The Independent and highlighted by the Big Issue as a changemaker.

Mikaela Loach: Best-selling author of It’s Not That Radical: Climate Action To Transform Our World, climate justice activist, co-host of The YIKES Podcast, writer, and former medical student. Named one of the most influential women in the UK climate movement by Forbes, Global Citizen, and BBC Woman’s Hour, Mikaela took the UK government to court over public payments to fossil fuel companies in the “Paid To Pollute” case. Her work focuses on the intersections of the climate crisis with oppressive systems and making the climate movement more accessible.

Tayshan Hayden-Smith: Born and raised in North Kensington, Tayshan was destined to be a professional footballer but shifted his focus to community activism after the Grenfell Tower tragedy. He initiated the ‘Grenfell Garden of Peace’ and now runs Grow to Know, a not-for-profit that promotes gardening and community cohesion. Tayshan’s work has gained international recognition, and his garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2022 won a Silver Gilt medal.
