.Marva Carty is the author of "Mari Loves Mangoes", “Mari Loves Reading” and the CEO of MangoLime Publishing. Born in England, she spent her childhood in Trinidad and then migrated to the US on a scholarship to Williams College where she studied English Literature. After stints in the Williams College Admissions Office and the Anguilla Tourist Board, she returned to England where her career spanned marketing, hospitality, children's toys, executive support, communications and FMCG. She is committed to sharing and normalising positive and joyful representations of Black characters. In her spare time, she enjoys Zumba, quizzing and sharing mango-related content.
