Music Producer & Creative Practitioner

Rui Da Silva is a music producer, and creative practitioner, working mainly across writing, performance, and illustration. Influenced by Black diasporic and continental subcultures, with the community and working-class struggle at heart. Rui also spends his time working with young people, operating in a range of contexts with the aim of empowering social, mental, and economic well-being. Rui founded Afroats, a magazine that celebrated Afro-Caribbean home cooks in London. He also campaigned to crowdsource funds for his mother's university tuition and was featured in Vice, BuzzFeed and BBC Two's Victoria Derbyshire Show.
